Pain is just weakness leaving your business
"Pain is weakness leaving the body."
I heard this from Myron Golden's latest video - apparently it's what they tell U.S. Marines during training. (can anybody verify?)
When I heard that... my mind went straight to the RM200,000 I burned in my previous business. And the RM60,000 debt I collected along the way.
Painful? Of course la. But I'm grateful for that pain.
Back when I was collecting salary every month, I never took risks, never tried new things, or pushed boundaries. I was just sitting happily in my comfort zone. I thought I was 'steady'.
Now when I look back, I was actually getting weaker by staying comfortable.
These past two years as entrepreneur, saw me burn through savings, maxed out credit cards, borrowed from family, sleepless nights. I have lost count of the days I just wanted to give it all up.
But it was through all that pain that I learned things money can't buy. I can see the red flags in the business. I now know when you should pivot vs when to push just a little harder. I can judge which costs are worth it.
Every successful person I know went through their own version of hell. Almost all of them tells me the same thing, "The pain was worth it."
Because that pain pushed out their weaknesses and made them stronger.
Think about it. If everything always comfortable:
How to grow?
How to improve?
How to become better?
Right now, if you're a business owner going through pain... I want to share a framework I created to:
Break down your specific pain points
Know whether to persist or pivot
Know by when you must pivot or find yourself in a deeper hole.

P.S. Your current pain isn't meant to break you. It's meant to break your limitations
