400 calls a day, 99% rejection rate

I do MLM almost two years - total never called half the number of people she calls in A DAY.

I was in the middle of my lunch when the phone rang.

"Hello sir, I'm calling from—"
I didn't really pay attention to her name, or which company she was from,
But one thing was obvious.
She was trying to sell me something.

Normally I'd hang up.
But something made me pause today.
Maybe because I saw myself in her voice.
That slight tremor that says "I know you'll reject me but I have to try anyway."

"Sorry miss," I said.
"What you're offering is not something I need. But can I ask you something?"
Silence.
"How many people do you call daily?"
Her reply, "400, sir."

I wondered if that was humanly possible...

Then asked her, "And how many say yes?"
"Maybe... 4 or 5 on a good day."
Wow, that’s 99% rejection rate.

At that moment, I just told her, "Miss, I want you to know something. Even though I'm not buying, I see you. As a fellow human. I respect you for showing up with a smile despite all the abuse you must get."
Her voice cracked. "Thank you sir. Nobody ever... thank you."

After we hung up, I sat there stunned.
I do MLM almost two years - total never called half the number of people she calls in A DAY.
400 calls - 4 sales, if lucky.

Respect her dedication and hustle.
But I do wonder, how draining must it be to get through 396 rejections a day.
I hope her company pays her well enough for her troubles.

Because here's what I realized:
Cold calling is working against human nature.
People don't want to be interrupted.

They don't want to be sold to by strangers.
They don't want their lunch disturbed.
No amount of scripts or persistence changes this fundamental truth.

The telecaller isn't the problem.
The method is.
That's why I refuse to cold call.

Not because I'm above it.
But because I've found a better way.

I use public messaging to attract the right buyers.
They come to me ready to buy.

No chasing.
No 99% rejection rates.
No dehumanizing myself or others.

My messages do two jobs:
Attract the right people. Repel the wrong ones.

If my message repels you, that's okay.
We're not meant to work together.

But if it resonates?
If you're tired of chasing people who don't want what you offer?

Then maybe it's time to discover a different way.
A way that respects both you and your prospects.
A way that works WITH human nature, not against it.

The old network marketing model turns you into that telecaller.
400 rejections for 4 sales.

My model?
I pulled in 50 group sales in 18 months with much fewer calls.

Always cheering you on,
Kon
